Q: Does Vons accept Apple Pay as a payment method?
Yes, Vons takes Apple Pay. The company began accepting Apple Pay in mid to late 2017. You can use Apple Pay at all Vons stores.
The below Twitter response from Vons confirms that they take Apple Pay.
Additionally, you can see that a Vons in Long Beach, California was recently promoting Apple Pay in its aisles. Vons, like many other grocery stores, is likely encouraging the use of touchless payment methods as a result of the pandemic.
Apple Maps & Apple Pay
You always can use the Apple Maps app to verify if a grocery store such as Vons or Whole Foods takes Apple Pay.
Simply open the app and search for the store you want to shop at. Once the store is pulled up, look for the “Useful to Know” section. It is below the store’s address information. Here you will see the Apple Pay logo and/or “✓Accepts Apple” if the store takes Apple Pay.

Instacart + Vons + Apple Pay
Instacart is one of the options for at-home grocery delivery with Vons. Instacart accepts Apple Pay as a form of payment. Apple Pay is not an option if you place an online order directly with Vons.
