Does Qdoba Take Apple Pay?

Q: Does Qdoba accept Apple Pay as a payment method?

Yes, Qdoba takes Apple Pay. The company announced in July 2020 that it introduced FreedomPay in all United States and Canadian restaurants.

FreedomPay is a touchless payment system that allows customers to pay in restaurants with popular contactless payment options such as Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Apple Maps & Apple Pay

You are able to confirm a Qdoba or any other restaurant takes Apple Pay by using the Apple Maps app. This app is likely already loaded on your Apple device. If not, the app can be downloaded from the Apple Store.

To find out if a restaurant takes Apple Pay, search for the location in the app. Once you pull up the restaurant, scroll down to the “Useful to Know” section. You will see the Apple Pay logo and/or “✔ Accepts Apple Pay” if the location accepts Apple Pay.

The image below is an example of Apple Maps showing a Qdoba restaurant that accepts Apple Pay. Circled in red is the Apple Pay logo which indicates that the restaurant takes Apple Pay.

You don’t have to use Apple Maps to determine if a Qdoba accepts Apple Pay since you already know all locations take it. However, it is a useful tool for determining if other restaurants take Apple Pay such as Chili’s or Taco Bell.

Qdoba App & Apple Pay

While you can use Apple Pay at Qdoba restaurants, you cannot use it as a payment method through the Qdoba app. Of course, this has been a source of frustration for some users of the app. Hopefully, the developers will add it as a payment option sometime in the near future.
