It is a dollar figure that we probably all have dreamed about earning, winning, or inheriting at least one time (probably more) in our life.
Now, assume that someone is going to give you a million dollars. The catch is that the million dollars will be paid to you in pennies. A couple of questions might come to your mind. You may wonder where you will store all those pennies or how you will quickly convert those pennies to cash or deposit them. You also might wonder how many pennies are in a million dollars.
We have no idea where you would store a million pennies or if a bank would even accept a million pennies as a deposit. However, we can answer how many pennies are in a million dollars.
There are 100 pennies in one dollar. A million dollars in pennies would be equal to 100 x 1,000,000. After doing this math, you will find that there are 100,000,000 pennies in a million dollars.
