Q: Does Fred Meyer accept Apple Pay for payment?
No, Fred Meyer does not take Apple Pay. The company uses Kroger Pay as its contactless payment option.
Kroger Pay can be downloaded on the Apple App Store or on Google Play. The app will require you to have a digital account with one of the companies owned by Kroger such as Fred Meyer, Kroger, Ralphs, Fry’s, etc. You can set up a new account on the app if you do not already have one.
Kroger Pay allows you to add a credit or debit card to the app. When your groceries are scanned and you are ready to pay, you simply open up Kroger Pay on your mobile device. A QR Code will appear which the cashier scans or you scan at self-checkout to complete the payment process.
