Q: Does Arby’s still sell onion rings?
No, Arby’s no longer has onion rings in the U.S. A review of its sides menu reveals only the following food items:
- White Cheddar Mac ‘N Cheese (Limited Time)
- Curly Fries
- Loaded Curly Fries
- Mozzarella Sticks
- Jalapeno Bites
- Potato Cakes
- Side Salad
However, if you visit the Canadian Arby’s website at arbys.ca and navigate to the sides menu, you will find onion rings as a menu option. The Canadian sides menu includes the following:
- Curly Fries
- Mozzarella Sticks
- Onion Rings
- Loaded Curly Fries
- Baked Potato with Sour Cream & Butter
- Baked Potato Deluxe
- Poutine
Based on the above, onion rings are available in the Canadian market but not in the United States. We aren’t certain when Arby’s did away with onion rings in the U.S., but at least as of October 2017, they were still a menu item based on the below Arby’s Twitter response.
As you might have expected, there is a demand to bring back onion rings to U.S. Arby’s. You can see a few Twitter post below that reflect dismay that onion rings are off the menu:
Final Thoughts
I have never had Arby’s onion rings and never even knew they were a menu option. I’m a curly fries kind of guy. However, after writing this article, I would probably order them if Arby’s started offering them again during lunch hours. I can understand the frustration of those who once enjoyed their Arby’s onion rings only to have them vanished in a blink of the eye. We hope for their return!
