Do Walmart gift cards expire?

Walmart gift cards do not expire. The gift card terms and conditions on Walmart.com indicate the following:

Walmart Gift Cards Do Not Expire. Walmart Gift Cards never expire.

Walmart makes it pretty clear that their gift cards do not expire. In addition to no expiration, there are no fees associated with the cards such as purchase or maintenance fees.

Types of Walmart Gift Cards

Walmart offers a wide variety of gift cards that are available in various denominations. You can purchase gift cards designed around occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and holidays. Of course, you can also buy generic style gift cards as well. Visit Walmart.com and search for “gift cards” to see examples and make purchases with free shipping.

Walmart also offers eGift cards. To order an eGift card, you can visit Walmart.com and select the denomination for the card. Walmart will email you the eGift card once your order is complete. You can then send the email to the person you wish to give the eGift card to.

Where Can They Be Used?

All gift cards can be used at Walmart, Walmart.com, Sam’s Club, Samsclub.com, and select Murphy Oil Stations (unless restrictions apply). You must be a Sam’s Club member to use the card at a Sam’s Club locations or on Samsclub.com. Again, there are no fees, no expiration, and no cost to reload the gift cards in stores. This applies to standard (plastic) gift cards and eGift cards.
