Q: Does Ulta Beauty accept Apple Pay for payment?
Yes, Ulta takes Apple Pay. You can use Apple Pay in-stores and when checking out using the Ulta app.

Ulta states the following regarding their acceptance of countless payment methods,
We accept (and encourage) your favorite contactless payment methods like Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay and contactless cards, including the Ultamate Rewards Credit Card.

You can commonly verify if a store like Ulta Beauty accepts Apple Pay by using the Apple Maps app. When you access the app, search for the store you wish to visit. Once you pull up the location, look for the “Useful to Know” section below the address information. In this section, you will see “✔ Accepts Apple Pay” and/or the Apple Pay logo if the store takes Apple Pay.
The image below shows an example of an Ulta Beauty store that was pulled up by us using Apple Maps. You can see the Apple Pay logo is displayed (circled in purple), which indicates that this particular store accepts Apple Pay.
Since you already know Ulta takes Apple Pay, verifying if every Ulta you visit takes Apple Pay using Apple Maps is overkill. However, the app is useful to find out if other stores take Apple Pay such as Sephora or maybe Nordstrom.
Ulta App & Apple Pay
The Ulta app (download on Apple App Store or Google Play) also accepts Apple Pay for payment. You will need to have Apple Pay set up on your mobile device to use it as a payment option.
The image below from the Ulta app shows that Apple Pay is one of the primary payment methods. Other options include credit cards, PayPal, AfterPay, and Gift Cards.

The Ulta website does not list Apple Pay as a payment option when making purchases on Ulta.com. The accepted listed payment methods are:

- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
- PayPal
- Ulta Gift Cards
- AfterPay
- Ultamate Rewards
- Ulta Credit Card
Update: We reached out to Ulta’s customer service to see if Apple Pay was accepted on Ulta.com. They stated that it was an accepted payment method. However, we tried placing an order on Ulta.com using Apple Pay and it was not an available payment option for us.
If you have the Safari browser and Apple Pay set up on your Apple device, it is worth a try to use Apple Pay on Ulta.com.
