Q: Does Dollar Tree accept Apple Pay as a payment method?
Yes, Dollar Tree has confirmed through its Twitter account that they take Apple Pay in stores. All registers were equipped with the ability to accept Apple Pay as of April 2020. You can also use other contactless payment methods now such as Tap to Pay with Visa/Mastercard, and Google Pay.
Here is the official post from Dollar Tree:
Apple Pay on DollarTree.com
Unfortunately, you can’t use Apple Pay as a payment method online at dollartree.com. The company states on its website that they are unable to accept purchase orders, coupons, Google Wallet, or Apple Pay for online purchase. You can use the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and PayPal Credit.
Apple Maps & Apple Pay
If you ever wonder if a particular store takes Apple Pay, you can always use the Apple Maps App to find the answer. Use the app to pull up the store you want to shop at. Once you pull up the store, scroll down to the “Useful to Know” section below the location’s address, phone number, and website address. In this section you will see the Apple Pay logo and/or “✔ Accepts Apple Pay” if the store takes Apple Pay.
Family Dollar Takes Apple Pay
For readers that also shop at Family Dollar, we have some good news about Apple Pay. Family Dollar, who is owned by Dollar Tree, also takes Apple Pay. Similarly to Dollar Tree, Family Dollar implemented Apple Pay at all register in 2020.
