Yes, Walmart does cash tax refund checks. They even accommodate people who want to cash their tax refund by raising their check cashing limit from $5,000 to $7,500 from January to April. However, two-party personal checks are limited to $200.
Cost
The cost to cash your tax refund is a maximum of $4.00 for checks up to $1,000. There is an $8.00 maximum for checks above $1,000. See a Money Services associate for the fee that applies to your check(s).
Payment Options
You can elect to be paid in cash or a Walmart MoneyCard. You will be paid once you pay for the transaction and the check is cashed.
