Yes, Petco takes Apple Pay. According to the company’s website, they were one of the first retailers to embrace the mobile technology required to accept Apple Pay. Apple Pay was initially available in all 1,300 Petco and Unleashed stores.
You can confirm that your local Petco accepts Apple Pay by opening the Apple Maps app on your mobile device. Pull up your Petco store in the app then scroll down to where you will see the store hours, address, and phone number. Next to the store hours, there is a link titled “Show All”. When you click this link and scroll down you will see “✔ Accepts Apple Pay” if the store takes Apple Pay.
Note that PetSmart takes Apple Pay similar to Petco.

According to the Petco website, Apple Pay is not listed as a payment option to use for purchases on the website. You can use the following payment methods online:
