Do Xbox gift cards expire?
No, Xbox gift cards do not expire. Microsoft, the parent company of Xbox, specifically states on its website that gift cards purchased at retail do not expire. However, if you happen to have a promotional gift card from Xbox Live Rewards or Microsoft Rewards, these cards expire.
In addition to no expiration on standard gift cards, they also do not have fees associated with them such as purchase or maintenance fees.

Your gift card will have a 1-800 phone number on the back of it. Call this number, enter the required information (i.e. account number, security code, etc.), and the automated system will state your gift card balance. You can also visit Microsoft.com to check your balance.
