Yes, there is a Target discount for students available. In order to receive the discount, you will need to sign up for Target’s College Registry. This is similar to a baby or wedding registry where you can add items to the registry so that people can purchase items for you off of it.
Once you sign up, you can then add items to your registry online or in a Target store using the Target Registry App that can be downloaded through Apple or Google Play.
A 15% off coupon will be emailed to you to use to buy items that are not purchased for you off the registry. In addition to the discount being emailed, the coupon can be found in the online registry (see benefits tab) or on the Target Registry App. Your registry needs to be active for 14 days before the coupon will be created for you.
You can only use the registry coupon once, but you can keep adding items to your registry after the coupon is emailed to you. You will have 6 months to use the coupon after the start of your college before it expires.
At the time of this article, the coupon cannot be used for the following items:
- Electronics
- Entertainment
- Shipping
- Clearance
- Tax
- Gift Wrap
- Lego
- Gift Cards/eGiftCards

Target Student Discount Coupons
At the time of this article, we were unable to find any coupons related to students. However, you should check for one in July and August when college students are planning to return to school for the fall semester. In late July 2020, Target had a $5 off $20 coupon specifically for college students. While there is no guarantee this type of coupon will return in the future, it is something to look out for as you prepare to return to school.
