A:According to NPR, check usage for non-cash payment transactions was at 46 percent in 2003. By 2012, the percentage was 15%. Over these years, people have switch from checks to debit cards as their preferred method of payment for non-cash transactions.
According to Target, they accept the following checks in their stores:
- Personal Checks
- Business Checks
- U.S. Traveler’s
Note that foreign checks are not accepted. Additionally, you cannot use a check for transactions made on Target.com.
