Q: Does Subway accept Apple Pay as a payment method?
Yes, Subway takes Apple Pay at its restaurants. It was one of the first businesses to implement Apple Pay as a payment method when Apple Pay launched in 2014.
In addition to using Apple Pay in Subway restaurants, a recent update of the Subway app now allows customers to use Apple Pay through the app. You can download the Subway app on the Apple App store here. In case you have an outdated app on your phone, you will need app version 25.0.0 or later to use Apple Pay.
You can always confirm a Subway takes Apple Pay by pulling up the Apple Maps app. Once you pull up the Subway you want to visit in the app, scroll down to the “Useful to Know” section. This will be just below the restaurant’s address, phone number, and website address. Here it will show the Apple Pay logo if the Subway takes Apple Pay.
However, you should be confident that any given Subway takes Apple Pay without having to verify it through the Apple Maps app.
Examples of other restaurants that take Apple Pay are Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Panera, Starbux, and many more.
