Q: Does Lidl accept Apple Pay for payment?
Yes, all Lidl stores in the U.S. take Apple Pay. The below Twitter response from Lidl confirms that all stores accept Apple Pay.
Lidl stores also accept these commonly used payment methods at stores:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
- Lidl Gift Cards
- EBT
- Google Pay
Apple Maps & Apple Pay
The Apple Maps app is a good tool to use to determine if a store like Lidl accepts Apple Pay. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, but it is likely already on your iPhone.
To find out if a store takes Apple Pay, simply open up the app on your Apple mobile device. Then search for the store you wish to shop at.
Once you pull up the location, find the “Useful to Know” section. Here you will see the Apple Pay logo and/or “✓ Accepts Apple Pay” if the store takes Apple Pay.
We pulled up a Lidl store in North Carolina as an example (see the image below). You can determine that this store takes Apple Pay since Apple Maps displays the Apple Pay logo. We circled the logo in red so that it is easy to spot.
Since you know that all U.S. Lidl stores accept Apple Pay, there is no need to use Apple Maps to determine if a Lidl takes Apple Pay. However, Apple Maps is a handy tool to use to determine if other stores like Aldi or Whole Foods take Apple Pay.
