Q: Does KFC accept Apple Pay as a payment method?
Yes, KFC takes Apple Pay. The company introduced mobile pay in the summer of 2016, which allowed customers to begin to pay with Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay. This mobile payment option was not only introduced inside restaurants but through drive-thrus as well.
Apple Pay was launched by Apple in September 2014. KFC was relatively quick to take on this payment method. Given that KFC is fast food, it makes sense that the company would be excited to introduce Apple Pay given it is a faster payment method than a traditional debit/credit card transaction.
In case you are not convinced that your nearest KFC has Apple Pay, you can pull up your local restaurant in the Apple Maps app. Here it will show the Apple Pay logo or state “✔ Accepts Apple Pay” if the restaurant takes Apple Pay. You will have to scroll down to the “Useful to Know” section to see this information.
KFC has had more than four years of experience accepting Apple Pay as a payment option. Most KFC employees who work in a cashier position should be well trained to process an Apple Pay transition rapidly without confusion.
