Only one credit card, IHG Rewards card, is listed as a MasterCard. The remaining Chase credit cards are Visa cards. This includes popular Chase credit cards such as Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire, and Chase Slate.
Since Chase offers so many Visa cards, we decided to dig a little deeper to see is you could actually select a MasterCard instead of a Visa. Chase answers the following question on their website:
Do I have the option of choosing between a Visa® and a MasterCard® when I apply for a Chase credit card?
We don’t offer a choice between Visa and MasterCard on our applications. All of our credit cards are offered as a Visa, except for the IHG Rewards card.
Based on the above, it is highly likely that you will obtain a Visa credit card through Chase.
